Day 1: Puno – Uros – Taquile
- Pick-up from your hotel or bus terminal in Puno between 6:40 am and 7:20 am (exact time coordinated according to your hotel).
- Board a modern fast boat and head to your first destination: the floating islands of the Uros.
- Learn about the unique lifestyle of the Uros community and spend about an hour exploring these fascinating islands.
- Continue by boat for 1.5 hours to the north side of Taquile Island.
- Take a 20-minute walk to a local restaurant and enjoy a delicious lunch.
- Participate in traditional dances with local families and learn about their rich culture.
- Descend to Taquile’s white sand beach with incredible views of the snow-capped Andes. Swim in Lake Titicaca if you’re brave enough (8°C), or simply relax and take in the scenery.
- Return to Puno, arriving around 4:00 pm.

This unforgettable full-day adventure begins with pick-up from your hotel or the bus terminal in Puno between 6:40 am and 7:20 am (exact time will be confirmed based on your accommodation). You’ll be taken to the port of Puno to board a modern fast boat for your journey on Lake Titicaca.
Your first stop is the famous floating islands of the Uros. Here, your professional bilingual guide will explain the fascinating way of life of the Uros people, who have lived on these handmade totora reed islands for centuries. You’ll spend about an hour exploring, visiting local homes and souvenir shops, and learning firsthand how these communities maintain their unique traditions.
Next, continue by boat for approximately 1.5 hours to the north side of Taquile Island. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic 20-minute walk to a local restaurant, where you’ll savor a delicious lunch made from fresh regional ingredients. Following lunch and cultural activities, descend to Taquile’s remarkable white sand beach. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a quick dip in the clear, chilly waters of Lake Titicaca (around 8°C). If not, relax on the shore and soak in the breathtaking scenery.
