Detailed Itinerary
Departure from Uyuni – 4:30–5:00 PM
The tour sets off in the afternoon between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. Timing is adjusted for traffic and arrival so we reach the salt flats at the ideal moment for sunset.
Drive to the Salar de Uyuni
As we head toward the heart of the salar, we make a brief stop for photos while the landscape transforms. The quiet and infinite horizon invite calm and contemplation. Along the way, your guide shares insights on the salar’s history, geology, and local culture.
Sunset Experience on the Salt Flats
On the flats, we witness the sun dipping below the horizon—one of the Altiplano’s most striking spectacles. Vibrant colors and gentle reflections across the salt surface—amber and rose hues—create a magical atmosphere for observation and photography.
Golden-Hour Photo Session
Your guide is on hand to assist with framing and technique, whether using a camera or phone, leveraging the contrast between sky and salt crust to capture memorable images.
Return to Uyuni – 7:30–8:00 PM
Following the experience, we drive back to Uyuni, arriving between 7:30 and 8:00 PM, depending on traffic and time spent shooting. On the way, the salar recedes under the first stars of the night.
