Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Coca Leaf Reading
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco in the morning and head to a quiet, sacred space to meet your shaman. To begin, the shaman will greet you warmly and ask for your name and the reasons that brought you to seek a coca leaf reading. This establishes the personal energy and intention for your ceremony. A prayer to the Apus – the powerful mountain spirits revered in Andean cosmology – is offered to show respect and to open spiritual pathways.
The shaman lays out a traditional woven cloth and performs a ritual breath over three coca leaves, calling upon the mountains to speak. A handful of leaves is then spread out on the cloth, and their position and patterns are carefully interpreted. These messages often provide insights into your health, family, friendships, and work life. Throughout the ceremony, you’ll sense a deep connection to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the ancient spirit of the coca plant that guides this practice.
Additionally, you will receive three different traditional Andean healing therapies that complement your coca leaf reading, fostering a sense of balance and clarity. A local lunch is included, and afterward, we will drive you back to your hotel in Cusco, leaving you with reflections and blessings from this powerful ancestral tradition.
